Refund & Cancellation Policy for the Basic 500 Hour Class & 600 Hour Class Program

A student will receive a full refund if he/she cancels the enrollment agreement, in writing, within 72 hours (until midnight of the 3rd day excluding Saturday, Sunday, and legal holidays) after the prospective student has signed the enrollment agreement.

If tuition is collected at least three days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and legal holidays) in advance of the first day of the program, and if, after the expiration of the 72 hours cancellation privilege, the student does not enter the program, the student will receive a full refund except the $100.00 application fee.

If a student enters the school program and is terminated or withdraws from the school; the school will retain the $100.00 application fee and the $100.00 insurance fee. The refund of the remaining tuition will be as outlined below. All hours prior to official termination or withdrawal are included when calculating the refund.

NOTE: Each scheduled class is 4 hours long.

If the student is cancels his/her enrollment, is terminated or withdraws from school…

  • Within 72 hours (as defined above) after the enrollment agreement has been signed; the student will receive back 100% of all moneys paid by the student.
  • After the 72 hour cancellation privilege has expired, but within the first 12 hours of scheduled class time, 90% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed, not including the $100.00 application fee or the $100.00 insurance fee.
  • After 12 hours of scheduled class time and prior to 36 hours of scheduled class time, 80% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed, not including the $100.00 application fee or the $100.00 insurance fee.
  • After 36 hours of scheduled class time and prior to 75 hours of scheduled class time, 75% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed, not including the $100.00 application fee or the $100.00 insurance fee.
  • After 75 hours of scheduled class time and prior to 150 hours of scheduled class time, 50% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed, not including the $100.00 application fee or the $100.00 insurance fee.
  • After 150 hours of scheduled class time and prior to 225 hours of scheduled class time, 25% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed, not including the $100.00 application fee or the $100.00 insurance fee.
  • After 225 hours of scheduled class time through the end of the program at 500 hours (including the internship hours), 0% of the tuition paid will be reimbursed. After 225 hours of scheduled class time, the student shall be obligated for the full tuition.
  • Refund of ancillary fees may be made all or in part at the discretion of the Director.

Refunds will be made within 30 days of the effective date of termination if the student is terminated, the date of receipt of written notice of withdrawal, or 10 instructional days following the first day of the program if the student fails to enter the program.

If San Antonio Institute cancels a class program, or changes the location by more than 10 miles, refunds will be made in accordance with TAC§140.344.

Refund & Cancellation Policy for Workshops or Advanced Classes

If the student cancels 30 or more days prior to the first day of the workshop or advanced class, the tuition paid will be refunded in full. If the student cancels within 14 days’ notice, any deposit paid is refundable. If the student cancels or misses hours after the workshop/advanced class is in progress, there is no refund. Refunds will be made within 30 days of the effective date of termination if the student is terminated; the date of receipt of written notice of withdrawal; or 10 instructional days following the first day of the program if the student fails to enter the program.
